ELLIOT HAIM

In the fourth grade, Elliot was suspended from school for giving out copies of one of his first, risqué art works, The Naked Lady. It seemed everyone in his crew had a drawing of the lady taped into their locker. Such a work of art didn't sit very well with the principal, a Rabbi in a Yeshiva. When Elliot's locker was busted, Playboy clippings and other drawings were seized causing an embarrassing scene in which his father, whose magazine he'd stolen the pictorials from, had to bail him out. At home, Elliot went unpunished. This was considered healthy behavior for a boy his age and was a signifying moment in Elliot's career as an artist, poet and musician. Some of the pieces below represent a natural progression in what would become his self-proclaimed, Nonchalant Punk Style.
